Mission: Hampton roads community care dba wave city care is improving the lives of individuals, providing help and healing for the release of the best in human potential. This is done through neighborhood outreaches where we assist the at risk community and by partnering with others to empower the community one life at a time.
Programs: 1) shine girl: every young girl needs to know that they have strength, worth and purpose shinegirl is a personal development program with an inspirational, practical and experimential approach to learning. It uses a strengths based approach to reach teenage girls in grades 5 to 12. Shinegirl's aim is for each girl to realize the potential within her to fulfill her desires. 2) man power: guys need men around them that will tell them they have significance, show them that they can be resilient and model courage for them. Strength is a unique personal development program with an inspirational, practical and experimential approach to learning. It is designed to reach teenage boys in grades 5 to 12. It is founded on the premise that every life counts and have intrinsic value. It helps teens to be effective global citizens for the future.
community improvement, capacity building: provided supplemental food to families. Tutored and mentored at risk children. Performed school make- overs and donated school supplies to underprivileged children. Assisted countless adults through dependency and counseling classes. Community outreaches include mentoring programs, tutoring programs, food distribution, community in action days, and twelve step recovery programs.
