Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals
Mission: Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find loving homes for animals in distress or at risk of losing their lives. We work to reduce suffering, one animal at a time. We help all breeds; dogs, cats, small animals, even horses. Seniors, special needs, those with critical medical needs, and the discarded are our priority. Our focus is on helping animals in our area, especially those in city shelters or living on the streets. We provide needed medical care from simple vetting and vaccinations to life-saving surgery. Finally, we are not here for just the animals. We offer programs to support those people doing their best to care for an animal but who need assistance in order to keep their animal at home, and not be forced to surrender it to a shelter because of an inability to afford food or basic care.
Results: Founded officially in June of 2019, HHART's experience animal rescue team immediately went to work to help save and improve the lives of over 250 animals in just 7 months. Without slowing, HHART has stepped up to help even more animals during the Covid-19 pandemic as shelters are closed to the public for adoptions, and more animals need refuge as caregivers pass away or are no longer able to keep their beloved pets.
