Causes: Community Service Clubs
Mission: The particular purposes of the corporation as a public charity is to serve as a meeting place to further educational programs within the community, both religious and secular; to serve as a center for distribution of food for needy families, and as a place to gather during times of disaster; to display and preserve historical memorabilia relating to the community; to foster dramatic and musical arts by providing a place for their practice and performance.
Programs: With the easter egg hunt we are providing a safe place for the kids in the community to hunt eggs and win a basket. With the halloween festival, we have games, prizes, and concessions, with this being held on the saturday before halloween, it keeps the kids off the streets, away from drugs. Our christmas program gives the kids in the area a chance to visit with santa, receive an brown bag with fruit, nuts and a small gift from santa. With some that is the only gift they will receive for christmas. At the easter egg hunt we usually have around 18 kids, halloween festival we have a total of around 200 to 250 kids and parents, with christmas we have about the same. We have an after school program, that there have been no grants received. We have 5 unusual grants that total $2,328. 00 and one grant totaling $15,634. 00. All of our programs are self supporting, though donations from members and private individuals.
