Geographic areas served: Guns Down America is a national campaign to take back public life from gun violence. We are creating and fostering a counter-culture that questions and rejects the idea that guns are inevitable. We win when we have eliminated the collective toll that gun violence exacts on our society.
Programs: We create counter-marketing to the gun industry’s manipulation, ensuring the millions of Americans that are considering whether or not to buy a gun don’t have to make that decision alone and in fear. We expose the vultures who say you can’t be free and safe without a gun. We give support and information to help our neighbors consider what we sacrifice by buying guns and all we have to gain by rejecting them.
