They helped me with finding resources and sent me an amazing mental health kit. Can't thank them enough
I discovered and joined Guardians MH back in 2019. Since then, this nonprofit has not only changed my perspective on life, but has also changed my life for the better.
The founders are wonderful people, and the community is outstanding in their field. I would be hard pressed to find a better community for the gaming community and general public at large.
Have a problem? We'll help you work through it and give you the resources you need. The Guardians MH nonprofit reminds people that they're not alone, and their message is very clear: Work together for a better tomorrow.
GMH helped me a lot.
At the start of the year 2021, everything went better with the help of a therapist, doctors, and a mental health clinic stay, but my biggest challenge was to socialise again in a safe environment, where I can talk about the mistakes I made, and get the help I need to stay on the new healthy path. I got accepted immediately and through the challenges of life, like getting friends or finding new people, they helped me a lot.
They were at that time until today a very important part for me to socialise, where I feel safe and around people which went through the same as me, or are at the start of their way.
We are no replacement for therapy, but a good step for the way back in life, as group, together. Because together we are always stronger, than in being alone
During the pandemic, I was looking for virtual ways to connect with others also experiencing mental health conditions. As someone who's been struggling with anxiety for a long time, the isolation from the pandemic aggravated my condition. I found Guardians Mental Health's Discord server and was instantly impressed by the well-managed, safe environment the staff and moderators worked so hard to maintain. GMH helps to provide peer support and even has an amazing bot with a huge database of resources that can be easily and quickly called upon. I'm so very grateful for this community. I learn how to better help others and myself each day and have started some incredible friendships that I hope will last a lifetime. Thank you GMH!
