These income statements and income tax returns should be investigated. The Library receives $593 Thousand Dollars from Wappingers as a Tax Levy - However, they govern themselves. There are 3 employees and their total income is almost $700,000 and they are unable to fix the roof. You are allowed on older computers for a limited time. The newest employee holds herself out to be Assistant Director and was a file clerk for a small tax service in California. In comparison you have 13 employees in Blodgett Library (fishkill) with half the income and newer material and computers with a professional staff. These statements do not divulge the pay of the employees - in addition on their website they sell DVDs CDs and Books and have fund raisers. What is going on here. I am not stating that this is a misuse of Public Funds however, they govern themselves, are a private library, came to existance in 2010 - do not pay land tax - hold themselves out to be Non Profit and at the very least deserve an audit not only of the library and their purchases but that of the personal affiliated individuals associated. Where is the Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars plus. What happened to transparency in government.
