Griffith Blue Heart

Griffith Blue Heart Foundation made it possible to provide vital field practical training and equipment to enhance the lifesaving services Flagstaff Police provides to our community. We held two formal field training classes that were complete with CPR / AED application and testing; in addition to practical field application of learned concepts. Overwhelmingly the students within the Flagstaff Police Department appreciated the building and enhancing of their abilities to administer CPR and use the AED when required. Most of the students had only received basic instruction and minimal evaluations of their CPR skills; however, after going through the course of instruction, the students expressed they were more confident in their CPR skills and using the AED when necessary in providing life saving measures.

Meeting and working with the team at Griffith Blue Heart has been a joyful learning experience. From first class education, to helping those who serve us get the life saving tools they need, Brandon and the crew are leading the way. The drive and vision of the organization is clear and powerful. It is a honor to help support them in any way possible.

Being ex New Zealand Police Close Protection I have done my share of first aid programs all the way to advanced levels.

Earlier this year of 2023 while visiting Phoenix I was invited to come attend Griffith Blue heart entry level police resuscitation training.

I have to say through the initial cpr and defibrillator training to the scenario trainings it is the best first aid training I have attended and still 6 months later remember the fine details taught.

This training should be in all departments on a regular basis.

Griffith Blue Heart is a fabulous organization that was created by Brandon and Melissa Griffith with the mission to save the lives of first responders. Brandon and his staff are very passionate about teaching and training first responders to be able to save lives when the need arises. The programs that they have developed teach using real life scenarios to effectively teach the skills required to save lives. Everybody on his staff are very professional and extremely knowledgeable. I met Brandon on the day he suffered sudden cardiac arrest at his residence, as I was a responding police Officer. I have since followed and watched as he has taken his passion and turned it into a much needed organization for first responders. I have attended several of his events and am extremely amazed at his passion and dedication to the cause.

Griffith Blue Heart has been a great partner helping to elevate Glendale Police Department's first aid care. They have excellent knowledge of what types of circumstances officers see. They provide great real life training and have great clinical knowledge to support their training practices. They have taken real strides in pushing for law enforcement to have better first aid equipment and training. It is clear they care about officers and the public. They want officers to be able to provide the best possible care to the public and have started to raise the bar in law enforcement first aid training.

I'm absolutely in awe regarding how Griffith Blue Heart conducts their training scenarios. They force their trainees to perform under realistic conditions where they are pushed to deliver life saving interventions under pressure. The preparation for these scenarios is meticulous and combine realism, time and stress management.
As the director of a Critical Care unit at a busy academic center in NY, I have 20 years of experience conducting training for high stake situations. I must say we have a lot to learn From Blue hearts team and must take a few cues from them on how to prepare hospital personnel.

Brandon and his team do great work supporting the law enforcement community through reality-based training and programs that supply AEDs to LEOs around the country. These guys know what it takes to set LEOs up for success with the training and resources they need. It's been cool to see how they've expanded their impact over the years to serve so many communities.

I am a Native Chief of a Tribal Police Department. I have seen & lived the loss of lives as a result of lack of resources & life-saving training for first responders on an Indian Reservation. Due to their remoteness & isolated locations, Native people are at a greater risk of dying during a medical emergency. Facilitated by the issues of drug overdose, diabetes, heart disease, alcohol abuse & related violence; these conditions are exacerbated by the lack of funding for resources & training for organizations willing to assist. This is where I've witnessed the value of Griffith Blue Heart. Through their program they provide an effective weapon to first responders to impact these conditions. Witnessing their level of training and the resulting numbers of lives saved from officers using it, the potential to the benefit of the people in America's Indian Country, can not be overstated.
As a retired law enforcement administrator I wish their program could be a standard for all Tribal Law Enforcement, or all law enforcement personnel, Nationwide.
In short I can testify they are the 'real deal'; that I wish was available when I worked the streets.

Griffith Blue Heart is an incredible organization. After meeting the CEO, Brandon Griffith, at a conference, his organization has helped me and my police department in a number of ways. First, Brandon helped me assess my AED program, identify shortfalls, and come up with solutions, including ordering new AEDs. More recently, I attended an instructor course for law enforcement resuscitation organized by Griffith Blue Heart. It was excellent training and provided many lessons I’ve brought back to my department.
