Mission: WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO We provide age-appropriate grief workbooks to help our young ones understand and cope with grief. The combined story and workbook gently guide the children through the labyrinth of confusion and difficult emotions. They learn that they are not alone and that every feeling is ok. Grief Heroes Foundation is a 501-c3 nonprofit organization headquartered in Florida. Our commitment is to improve the lives and mental wellbeing in grieving children & teenagers.
Results: The Children of Oklahoma City When COVID-19 cast its shadow over the United States and knowing there was next to no help for grieving children before the pandemic, our volunteer team have worked tirelessly to prepare grief support. In November 2020, we shipped Grief Heroes Donations to 18 inner-city schools in Oklahoma City. In coordination with teachers and school counselors, grieving students now had access to grief-healing workbooks in multiple languages. Emily Kloeppel, a teacher at Windsor Hills Elementary School, Oklahoma City, was one of the first recipients. She expressed it so beautifully: "In a school where trauma is abundant, and teachers and counselors are doing everything they can to help, the hope these donations bring can't be overstated. They are helping hundreds of students and families in Oklahoma City." Free Grief Tools On our Website: Five hundred sixty-seven people have downloaded our Children's grief workbooks from December 2020 to October 2021.
