Mission: The mission of the gretna basketball association is to promote youth basketball programs in gretna, nebraska, holding or arranging amateur basketball teams, leagues and tournaments and to offer or contribute towards the provision of prizes and awards.
Programs: Gretna basketball association organized and supervises a fall league and a winter league for approximately 915 gretna youth in grades 1 through 8. The leagues include instruction, games and tournaments.
gretna basketball holds an annual tournament featuring area youth basketball teams, giving the gretna teams an opportunity to compete with other youth.
gretna basketball association provides scholarships annually to seniors graduating from gretna high school, who have been active in the basketball program. In 2017, $2,500 in scholarships were given.
