Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services, Transportation Assistance

Mission: Greene CATS was formed in 1998 by the human services agencies in Greene County, Ohio in an effort to expand and improve the human services transportation available to the County's transportation disadvantaged i.e. those residents with mobility limits imposed by age, disability, mental health problems, or low household income. Greene CATS' goals are to: provide more transportation options for human service agencies and transportation disadvantaged consumers, improve the cost-effectiveness of human services transportation, increase the overall amount of transportation by increasing the funding available for human services transportation, and develop a coordination model which can be applied to other communities.
