Mission: Mission statement: the purpose of american legion post 42 is to serve the needs of local area veterans of all wars, their widows, and dependent children. We are committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans. Accomplishments: through affiliation with the national department of the american legion this post has been contributed in the following accomplishments: child welfare foundation - american legion organization providing grants devoted to addressing both social and health issues of the youth of this country including cancer, autism, suicide and drug abuse.
