Mission: The mission of green living science is to transform detroit by teaching about waste and recycling. We are dedicated to increasing awareness of environmental issues & personal responsibility through education.
Target demographics: Educate and assist any and all Detroit residents and businesses in achieving a heightened state of sustainability

Programs: Curbside Recycling Program: Through a community ambassador program and partnership with multiple local agencies we are assisting and educating, promoting and ordering recycling bins for residents, often for free.
Recycling workshops: gls hosts recycling workshops at block club and community group meetings to train detroit residents living in single family homes or multi-family homes no more than 4 units how to recycle through the city curbside recycling program.
Youth Program: gls hosts an annual earth day celebration inviting 3rd graders from dpscd to join us for fun activities focused on the 3 rs (reduce, reuse, recycle). Gls has also written a children's book and had it published to provide to all the students we work with.
In-School Program: in-class science lessons(pre-k - 12): a gls educator comes as a guest teacher to provide engaging activities for students to understand the three rs; reduce, reuse, recycle and how their individual actions contribute to natural resources and sustaining our planet.
