The Green Bow Foundation, as a principle, is a fantastic organization. When becoming a member and looking for kid-friendly organizations to get involved with, I was thrilled to come across a conservation group that also had ties to the 4H community. However, due to the actions of the club owner (the primary contact for the organization), I wish I could give a 0 star rating. It came to my attention in 2016 that the owner/club leader was using his teenage, volunteer PR intern to get close to her married mother, whom he later proceeded to get romantically involved with. Frequently I would come to meetings and question the closeness of the woman and the club leader, terrified that the intern would discover their relationship. It was clear she knew what was going on, which broke my heart to watch. I know this seems like a personal issue that should not be disclosed so publicly, but I can't help but wonder how someone who leads a club founded on principles of stewardship and kindness can have the audacity to have an affair with a staff member's married mother. If the GBF had any sense, they would vote the club founder out of "office" and reclaim the organization. There are good people at this club, but after discovering the twisted inside issues, I not only needed to leave, but share my experience with others.
