Programs: Primary care - provides medical care for families, including well and sick child care, teen health care, teen health clinics, adult care, and comprehensive pediatric care.
dental program services - provides access to comprehensive dental health services, including oral health exams, cleanings, oral hygiene instructions, fluoride treatments, digital x-rays, oral cancer screenings, amalgam and composite fillings, extractions, dentures and limited crowns and root canals. Also provide school based dental program services including education, free screenings, provivdrs to diagnose and approve treatments, and referrals.
prenatal services - provides comprehensive care to individual mothers, service providers, registered nurses, nutritionists, social workers, and breast feeding counselors to provide support and various resources to expectant mothers. Centering pregnancy program pairs expectant mothers with similar due dates in groups where mothers receive solutions, support, and education related to healthy practices for eating, exercising, and monitoring their own health as well as their baby's. Family planning services - provides confidential counseling, screening, and treatment for reproductive and sexual health needs. Provides educational materials, support services, and providers to all women regardless of age or ability to pay. Educational materials are distributed to teens on these confidential services through community schools and at locations frequented by teens. Teens may come to avis goodwin and be educated, tested, treated, and provided counseling on sexual preparedness and family planning issues. Mental health services - mental health services have been integrated into existing medical services for established patients. A team of mental health providers (a psychologist, psychiatric nurse, practitioner and licensed social worker) work with the individual's primary care provider. A nurse care manager follows up with patients and families, providing education, resources, and monitoring patient outcomes. Social workers and therapists are available with provider referral. Various other programs - breast and cervical cancer programs, obstetrical and gynecological care, health and wellness education, chronic disease management, medication assistance program.
