Mission: The mission of the greater ohio policy center is to champion revitalization and sustainable growth in ohio.
Programs: The greater ohio policy center (gopc) lowered financial barriers to brownfield redevelopment by championing an amendment in the 2017 operating budget; increased funding for public transportation by successfully advocating for, with other partners, allocations in the odot budget and a federal epa settlement. Gopc provided ohio's smaller legacy cities with roadmaps to success through peer learning roundtables and original research. Gopc's "regenerating america's smaller legacy cities" report earned extensive in-state and national media coverage. Gopc also armed leaders and practitioners with effective tools and strategies for creating competitive, attractive communities through our biannual summit, transportation leadership academy, and strategic assistance on financing water infrastructure to a multi-agency working group.
