Programs: Patient services - the health center makes a difference by offering preventative care, health education, integrated clinical and social services, and affordable quality medical care. Our programs are designed to address the needs in our community and eliminate existing health disparities. Traditional medical services are provided at our six clinical sites, at two school based health centers, and fourteen health care for the homeless sites. The health center serves an estimated 58,000 patients, with 239,400 annual medical visits, and 5,400 hospital visits. For more than a decade, not one hiv+ baby has been born in lawrence and both the std and aids rate is dropping faster in lawrence than statewide.
lawrence family medicine residency: the nation's first accredited community health center-sponsored family medicine residency program. Affiliated with tufts and umass, we currently train 37 medical residents annually. The health center has 175 alumni who are working in underserved communities all over the country and the world.
pharmacy - the family pharmacy offers discounted medications to qualifying patients and is open to the public. The health center has five pharmacies and filled approximately 596,000 prescriptions during fiscal year 2017.
