The Coalition is full of amazing, positive, hard working people who care deeply about the community and helping to advance Flint and Genesee County. Unfortunately the individuals in leadership positions do not respect or value their workers. Social Workers are not valued, input from employees is not welcome and employees are treated like school children needing to be monitored to ensure they return from their thirty minute lunch break not one minute late. They decline pay raises to people who are not paid a living wage, meanwhile the Director of Operations drives a Tesla to work everyday. The CEO speaks to educated, devoted employees with extreme disrespect on a regular basis and seems to hold little regard for them as human beings. The mission of the Coalition within the Flint community is respectable and so deeply needed. It is sad to think about what this organization could be if they valued employees and understood the basics of quality leadership.
