Causes: Environment, Land Resources Conservation
Mission: The mission of the Great Works Regional Land Trust is to conserve the value of our natural, historic, agricultural, forestry, scenic and recreational resources.
Results: Since 1986, Great Works Regional Land Trust has conserved over 4,000 acres in the fastest growing region of Maine. GWRLT has received statewide recognition for its Farmland Protection program as well as national recognition from the EPA for its role in the Mt. Agamenticus to the Sea Conservation Initiative.
Target demographics: Current and future residents of southern Maine.

Programs: Worked to acquire additional conservation lands including a donation of 30. 4 acres in south berwick, a 90 acre farm in berwick, a 32 acre wetland mitigation parcel in berwick, purchase of a 10. 7 acre parcel in south berwick, purchase of a 34 acre parcel in berwick, purchase of a 37 acre parcel in south berwick, purchase of a 1/2 interest in a farm in eliot, a donation of an easement on 4. 9 acres of riverfront in south berwcick, and an easement donation on a 69 acre farm in berwick.
