Mission: To preserve and enhance the ecological, natural, scenic, historic and/or recreational values of important land and waters resources primarily in the great basin areas of the united states.
Programs: To purchase and transfer land and water rights on western rivers and desert lakes. Including the truckee river and pyramid and summit lakes. Residents, visitors and natural resources of the great basin areas of the united states benefit by these aquisitions and transfers.
