Programs: Grande ronde hospital, inc. (grh) is dedicated to providing high-quality, cost-effective healthcare to the local community through the operation of a 25-bed critical access hospital, 24-hour emergency department, family birthing center, home health and hospice programs, and 11 outpatient primary and specialty care clinics. Grh also operates a telemedicine program which enables patients to obtain the services of specialists such as icu intensivists, cardiologists, neonatologists, and dermatologists and helps reduce patient travel for these services. During the tax year, grh served 1,504 inpatients, 47,455 outpatients, 13,912 emergency patients, and registered 258 births. Additionally, grh provided services to 143 patients in the home health program, 74 patients in the hospice program as well as recording 70,116 visits to its provider-based clinics. During the tax year, grh was able to provide charity care services to those who could not otherwise afford necessary medical care. The hospital provides care to persons covered by governmental programs at below cost and to individuals who are unable to pay. The unreimbursed value of providing care to these patients was 2,653,369 for charity care, 24,154,065 for medicare, 14,071,047 for medicaid, and 10,904,841 for other third party payors for the year ended april 30, 2017.
