Programs: "excellence in education" grants were awarded for innovative learning programs within the district for the academic year. $500 mini grants were added to help teachers purchase items for thier classroom to challange student achievement. Applications are reviewed by the grant committee and awarded based on eductional/instruction purpose and content.
attendance initiative - awarded each 9 weeks and at year end to the primary and secondary campuses with the greatest percentage improve- ment in student attendance.
