Mission: Here, in Gramiksha, we aim to ‘Build the India of our Dreams’. We aim to educate people and promote education among the poverty-ridden and ignorant sector in India. We also provide them with books and conduct workshops to make education entertaining. Our work is to create interest among students for education. We donate books, install medical facilities, make the school’s environment hygienic and also organize activities and workshops. We don’t promise to make the entire India literate and change the circle of education, but we do promise to make a difference in Indian literacy rate and hopefully, it will do wonders for us.

Gramiksha is a wonderful place not only for the under-privileged children to which it helps to develop but also for youngsters and students to get a platform to work on ground and learn a lot and to contribute their part to society.

Teaching in a classroom with elementary school kids was refreshing: acuity in responding, ideas, innocence and happiness. I felt nostalgic more often than not. It made me wonder what knowledge and opportunity could do to them, and how important an NGO like Gramiksha was to them, and could be to many more.
Volunteering outside the classroom including meetings, discussions, awareness initiatives and reflections were gratifying and humbling.

Gramiksha is a non-profit organisation working fir the underprivileged sections of the society. It is the fastest growing organisation. In five years, it has achieved things which might have looked impossible to many. Striving to omit the evils of education system and inspiring students to work towards their goal. Creating an atmosphere where every child can learn willingly and not run away from education. We promote extra curricular activities in low income school and introduced fun and activity based learning to get kids involve. Our project also involves teachers' training and teachers' involvement so that they become familiar with the growing techniques of teaching. In all, this organisation has a bright future and a long way to go. Gramiksa's vision is bring the change and mission to Build India of our dreams.

Theres not much that can explain what Gramiksha is for me just that Gramiksha helped me found a purpose in my life.I was a girl lost in my own world,i always wanted to help people with their problems and at my individual level I actually initiated it. When I joined Gramiksha as a volunteer... I think yeah I can boast about this that Gramiksha has made me a girl who is more focussed towards her goals, confident about herself, filled me with positivity and yeah definitely helped me to be the change I wish to see in this world.I feel I'm a better person now and making those people smile who are not as lucky as all of us are makes me an all time happy-go-lucky girl.

Gramiksha is an organization working in the field of education for unprivilaged children. Basically it promotes extra curricular activities along with academics for overall development of students in those government schools where basic facilities are not up to the mark. And also admitting children of slums in schools by spreading awareness through Street meets. It is working on the philosophy of " be the change" you want to see the change in society.

Even though I only joined Gramiksha quite recently, I have noticed that Gramiksha stands out due to these two strengths especially:
1) As a volunteer, joining Gramiksha truly feels like joining a family. Everyone is very supportive of each other and non-Indians are much respected and treated as equals as well.
2) Your actions have meaning and can actually make an impact. Gramiksha's initiatives are directly targeting people in need. Funds that are provided to the NGO are spent well. This way, money doesn't just evaporate, but gets spent on a good cause.
