I spent almost 10 years prior to COVID with a non-profit that partnered with ministries like Grace So Amazing. We came alongside ministries in 14 different countries. I loved every ministry we served but there is a special place in my heart for GSA and it's staff. Whether it is through their school, their feeding program, their farming initiatives or just the simple yet profound way that they live among and love their neighbors GSA is bringing transformation to Haiti one life at a time. Every team we sent to serve with GSA was given amazing opportunities to serve and many continue to serve or partner with GSA in some form or another. It can be cliche to call a ministry Christlike but GSA truly fits that title because of the way they love and serve like Jesus did, on the ground, in the trenches, one person at a time.
Grace So Amazing’s holistic approach to Isaiah 1:17 empowers more than the fatherless and widows. At the core of GSA’s multi-layered mission is the lifting of men, women, and children out of generational poverty, systemic oppression and Enemy bondage. GSA touches the entire community of Boyer and beyond. Grace Academy and Grace House Children’s Home are training up children to be future leaders and world changers.
GSA leadership encourages and assists in cultivating intimate relationships with Jesus from an early age. GSA discipleship programs work to equip young people to be confident followers of Christ living out Psalm 117. The partnerships and outreach programs for feeding/housing/farming and community education are transforming lives and most importantly making eternal impact with Kingdom advancement. The dreams are big but God is bigger. It is utterly miraculous to witness what our Heavenly Father is doing through GSA and to hear the countless ‘beauty from ashes’ stories.
Almost 10 years ago I visited Haiti for the first time with Grace So Amazing Ministries and have returned multiple times since then. Like me, most who serve with GSAM, have a longing to return. The immediate immersion in meaningful and Holy Spirit-led purpose is soul-satisfying work for those called to spend time there. This prayer-soaked ministry is one that focuses on building real and deep relationships between team members, the staff, and the community of Haitians--as we walk out life's journey together. When serving with GSAM, we are all family searching together for ways to put into action our "Thy will be done" focus. It's why I remain in a supportive role to this ministry 10 years later. God's hand is clearly is on this ministry, and I'm humbled to serve alongside these good people.
We have been to Haiti on several short term trips and all of them have been with GSA. The ministry team and staff at GSA are serving their community with the love of God. Being a part of this ministry allowed our team to share Christ through service, prayer, and songs. We played games with the toddlers, provided rice to different families in the community, prayed over the sick, & shared the hope of Gods presence with those we met. This organization truly is dedicated to the gospel and the people of Haiti.
We have been to Haiti a total of 3 times. Each time we were so blessed to be able to serve with Grace So Amazing Ministries. It is a God centered ministry and we are so thankful to be a part of what God is doing there. We were so excited to be able to spend a summer there; living and serving alongside the GSA ministry and staff. We were able to go on home visits, help with school preparations, and help with many other projects. Haiti is truly the one of most beautiful places I have ever seen and the people are so beautiful, strong, and resilient.
I went to Haiti in the summer of 2017 not knowing what to expect. I immediately fell in love. Immediately at GSA I found myself wanting to stay connected to do more. Ministry was not the original plan but God used this time to reveal things to me and his plan for me. Grace so Amazing is Christ centered and focused on providing long term help for the people of Haiti. The children and staff are incredible and have a love for serving. GSA connects with the community and focuses on helping the community as well. The help, prayer, support, & long term assistance extends well beyond the four walls of the GSA home.
