goodwill industries implements a variety of workforce development programs and services throughout our 5-county territory. This includes seven career centers, wioa-funded services in partnership with the ncworks system, and jobs on the outside. Our mission served nearly 14,000 individuals, placing over 2,700 into competitive employment. While the vast majority (81%) of these individuals received some type of employment activity, such as resume development or mock interviewing practice, 12% engaged in work-readiness classes and workshops, 6% attended a job fair or hiring event, and 1% received one-on-one career coaching. Looking forward, we must be focused on finding ways to make an even greater impact in the lives of people through the delivery of individualized programming that is unique to the circumstances and goals of each job seeker, and in alignment with the needs of the local economy. It is important to grow partnerships with businesses, service providers, and members of the community who share our vision in assisting others achieve the goal of successfully integrating into the competitive labor market, and will be emphasized through future service planning and delivery.
