Mission: To provide a public place set aside to honor and remember all veterans. To name the fallen in the War on Terror. To provide a series of garden rooms representing core values of those serving in the US Armed Forces, such that when passing through them, one may consider those who serve the United States and the advancement of our world. To provide a place to shuck off emotions burdens and allow the Garden to transform it into a beautiful living plant, providing healing for the individual and then peace. That Peace may then transfer to the family, community, nation and world.
Results: Gold Star Garden is now open to the public 24hours a day 7 days a week with no charge. It was dedicated in June 2012 and has become the location of the annual Elks Flag Day Ceremony as well as a permanent feature of the the Splash Pond Tour in July. Hundred make the GSG a destination for healing and refreshment, often on their travels to Washington DC, Gettysburg, Lancaster, or Harrisburg.

The names of the Pennsylvania fallen in the GWT are inscribed into the Wall of Honor forever embraced along the arms Star Walk.
