Mission: Glocal ventures is dedicated to holistic, socio-economic development in vietnam. Glocal ventures mobilizes volunteers from around the world to partner with communities in vietnam to see dreams realized and lives transformed. Volunteers serve alongside communities to help people work together in interdependency, taking charge of their situations and moving towards a more empowered and satisfying life as individuals and community.
Programs: Glocal ventures is dedicated to holistic, socio-economic development in vietnam. During 2017, 186 volunteers spent approximately 8,856 volunteer hours in vietnam, impacting 16,358 people. Gvi continued collaborating with hanoi university of education and lao cai department of education to organize 2 education conferences to train 400 university students, educators, administrators and parents to work with students with disabilities. In 2017, 123 water buffalos were donated to needy farmers. 142,347 boxes of milk, 152 water filtration systems and 16 sets of exercise equipment were installed in rural schools in sapa and lao cai. Nutritional programs supplemented meals for 700 students. A new classroom was built; 1 study room and 1 bedroom were renovated for ss3 orphanage. 4 summer camps & 4 field trips were provided for 300 orphans. 600 families received food packages.
