Mission: Our mission is to engage children in cross-cultural dialog and understanding, inspiring them to protect the diversity of all life on earth. We fulfill this mission by creating unique online resources and learning activities that increase children''s interest in and understanding of global environmental topics. This, in turn, encourages them to become better environmental stewards and global citizens who make healthy choices and use natural resources wisely. GLOBIO aims to engage kids ages 7-12 on how to make respectful, conscious decisions about the planet in which they live and to understand how they can make a difference to protect it.

Programs: Glossopedia, an interactive encyclopedia where children can explore their interest in animals, ecosystems, people, places, and environmental-science topics. Designed to be the window to the world for curious children, Glossopedia is an online learning programs designed to connect children to the environment, to other children, and to actions they can take to manage natural resources wisely. Finally, GLOBIO's International Biodiversity Workshops (IBWs), provide professional development training to ensure teachers have the skills, content knowledge, technology and educational resources to learn about the environment on a local, regional, and global scale.
