Mission: Globesity inc. ,'s purpose is to reduce the incidence and prevalence of obesity and obesity-related diseases in those ethnic groups with the highest rates of obesity but the lowest rate of financial resources or health insurance options to pay for primary and secondary obesity prevention treatment. By providing a free, 24-week primary and secondary obesity prevention program using obesity specialist physicians, the incidence of obesity and obesity related diseases such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke and others can be significantly reduced in those target populations.
Programs: Globesity inc. Provides a free 24-week weight loss/weight loss maintenance program to reduce the incidence and prevalence of obesity when obesity treatment itself has a 5% success rate. Our program was able to accomplish a 59% success rate by utilizing obesity-prevention physician specialists and focusing on the real aspects of obesity treatment that minimize relapse and weight gain. The 59% success rate was over an 10 fold increase in the current obesity treatment success rate by utilizing obesity screening, education, nutritional and dietary counseling as well as psychosocial, behavioral and dance fitness therapies.
