Geographic areas served: countries all over the world.
Programs: In 2017, global rights for women trained over 600 legal professionals and advocates from more than 20 countries to more effectively respond to violence against women. We traveled to moldova, romania, bulgaria, georgia, lithuania, and the united kingdom to build the capacity of advocates and legal professionals to evaluate the legal system's response to violence against women, identify best practices, and push for reforms. We worked with the united nations and the inter-parliamentary union to create standards for coordinating the response to violence against women that will have a global outreach and affect women all over the world, and laid the foundation for new global partnerships and collaborations.
