Global India Fund has allowed me to donate my time and services in a way that empowers young girls in India. By living in the US I did not know how to give back to. GIF allows me to donate services, money and time. GIF is portal that empowers donors such as me to make a decision on which cause and which organization I want to give back to.
GIF recently partnered with Johnson& Johnson on a Stayfree campaign, providing young girls in India with a 6 month supply of sanitary napkins, 2 medical check ups, and a 3- month supply of folic acid for underprivileged girls. 1 in 3 girls drops out of school because they lack proper hygiene and 1 and 2 girls drops out of school because they lack proper nutrition. With a donation of $15, one girl was provided all these items, and thus also helping her stay in school.

To support ngos that work to create equal opportunities for children in vulnerable communities. To support ngos that empower children and youth through a unique sports development program, creating equality for girls and women through education, livelihood and leadership, health and gender equity. To support ngos that educate poor children and women in gujarat through educational scholarships and loans to girls from poor backgrounds, which aim to improve overall development, practical knowledge and life-long education for students.
in february 2014, global india fund hosted the "girl rising" film screening gala. Through the funds raised we were able to support magic bus usa's programs in india for girls. Also, global india fund made a grant to the katahdin foundation to support the film project, "girl rising" and the girl rising campaign in india.
global india fund supported techcamp mumbai, part of the techcamp program under u. S. Secretary of state hillary clinton's civil society 2. 0 initiative - an effort to galvanize the technology community to assist ngos across the globe by providing capabilities, resources and assistance to enable them to harness the latest information and communication technology advances to build their digital capacity.
