Programs: To reduce poverty and enable access to finance, globaldf has provided financial avisory for the preparation of financially viable infrastructure projects and developed a new methodology for estimating job creation for the new partnership for african development (nepad), the african union's implementing agency for regional infrastructure projects. The job creation methodology will be used to advance africa's regional integration, trade, and large infrastructure projects access to finance. The job creation methodology defines the development impact essential to obtaining technical and financial support as funders can see the importance of nepad's projects and activities on africa's job creation. The approach uses best practices, developing national input-output tables for african countries and the eventual development of an online platform such as that offered by the us national renewable energy laboratory. The german government has provided some financial support for these globaldf activities. In addition, globaldf continued to support the world bank's city and water creditworthiness platforms aimed at increasing the creditworthiness of sub-national entities worldwide, so that finance can be obtained to provide essential services to citizens. The two on-line platforms are aligned with the world bank program to help sub-national entities in developing countries, especially in africa, to reduce poverty and enable access to finance. The names of the two on-line platforms being supported are: the citycredit creditworthiness platform for all sub-national entities (www. Citycred. Org) and the water creditworthiness platform for water sub- national entities (www. Watercred. Org).
