Mission: To promote youth leadership in developing and/or sponsoring global humanitarian service initiatives.
Programs: Beginning in 2007, global care unlimited kicked off its new multi-year global humanitarian service initiative: the ethiopian school building initiative. The objectives of this initiative are to sponsor construction of a k-grade 12 school in awassa, ethiopia as well as to develop and maintain ongoing connections between the students of awassa and global care. The school will be called the ethio-american friendship school: a global care institution. Global care hopes to sponsor construction of 12-18 classrooms at about 5,000 per classroom. Currently, global care has three chapters in two new jersey schools: tenafly middle school, tenafly high school and demarest middle school. . Our implementing partner is the ethio-american friendship school founder, yohannes gebregeorgis. Mr. Gebregeorgis is also co-founder of ethiopia reads, an organization that builds libraries in ethopia.
