Mission: The glendale humane society provides a compassionate no kill haven for dogs and cats while transitioning them into loving permanent homes. We foster a positive relationship between people and their pets through edcuation. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on private donations and receive no funds from local, state or federal government. Our goal is to ensure as many dogs and cats as possible receive the second chance for life they deserve.
Programs: Glendale humane society pulls dogs from over populated county shelters in los angeles and riverside. Dogs are spayed/neutered and brought to prime health in our shelter. Cats are predominately owner surrenders from local residents that can no longer keep their pets for various reasons. Glendale humane society offers a cage free no kill facility to these felines for their life span or until they are adopted by their forever home. Veterinary care is made available to all our canine and feline residents by a visiting vet and a local vet hospital and specialist when needed.
trainers evaluate the dogs and with the help of staff and volunteers, teach them basic manners (sit, stay, down and come) to make them more adoptable.
