Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development Programs
Mission: We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experienced based curriculum which creatively integrates running. We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.
Results: Since 2011, over 1700 girls have participated in Girls on the Run (3rd-5th grade) and Heart & Sole (6th-8th grade) on the Treasure Coast.
Target demographics: We provide programming for girls in 3rd through 8th grade to build confidence and make intentional decisions, while fostering care and compassion for self and others.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Last year, we provided programming for 193 girls during the 20-21 school year with safety modifications through COVID-19. In 19-20, we served 393 girls.
Geographic areas served: Indian River, St. Lucie and Martin Counties
Programs: 10 week after school programming, meeting twice weekly lead by trained coaches. We use physical activity and dynamic discussions to build social, emotional and physical skills in every girl while encouraging healthy habits for life.
