My parents raised me to be a helper. A doer. A giver. The people I looked up to the most were always giving back to their community - the Lions, the Church, sick friends, our tiny school, our town fire dept. - so I knew nothing different. It was just what we did. And not just in our free time. For a 'living', my mother made countless lives better - stepping in when babies having babies had nowhere else to turn, helping people become parents, and uniting families. Making a difference is in my blood. Not one ounce of me ever considered doing anything for a 'living' other than helping, improving, empowering, bettering, inspiring, and loving... My life's work has been giving and asking others to give. And giving has been my own greatest gift. Now I have the privilege of inspiring a new generation of women to do the same.
