I feel Girlfriends Talk is a great organization for young girls. My three girls have been involved for over four years and they enjoy it. They have learned and shared a lot with other teens. They talk about concerns that they experience as young girls growing into young ladies. They participate in community service activities, attend educational trips as well as putting on performances using their talents to entertain other youths in the community. Overall I am proud to have my girls apart of this organization and I feel more organizations like this are needed in our community.
My daughter has been a member of Girlfriends Talk, Inc for 5 Years.
This is an excellent organization for young girls/ladies. The girls get to talk about lots of topics that some may feel its uncomfortable talking to their parents about. Also, they are taught how to conduct themselves as young ladies, how to have respect for themselves and others, and etiquette.
Girlfriends Talk is an educational organization as well. It has exposed these young ladies to the world of reading.
My daughter enjoys this organization. There should be more like it!
I was honored to have been a guest speaker for this organization that encourages the empowerment of young ladies to become entrepreneurs and successful business women.

Served as a facilitator for a great group of girls aged 9-11 which met weekly. I looked forward to my weekly meeting with my bunch. We started each session with a journal entry and ended with a feel good positive mantra.
Looking at these young girls excited and eager to meet weekly excited me too. Every meeting fun, creative and hopefully everygirl left there with something positive, then I can say I did my job and made a footprint.

GirlFriend-Talk-Inc is a great organization for young girls/ladies, I'm speaking on first hand experience because my daughter is one of the young ladies that have participated in this organization. They help build their self-esteem, character and confidence. They address several issues the young girls/ladies maybe concern or dealing with such as; peer pressure, youth issues, current events, family/friends, abuse, puberty, social skills, etc. The group sessions/workshops are great because it allows the young ladies to discuss their issues/concerns that they may have a problem with discussing with their parents/family/friends. It helps the young girls/ladies to realize that they are not alone with their feelings or issues. I do recommend for all young girls/ladies from the ages 10 - 19 to participate in one session and as a parent you will see the change and growth within your child.
As a parent of two former members of Girlfriendstalk, I have had the opportunity to see first hand what this program is about. This organization has been an inspiration to a number of young girls, including my two. My daughters became a part of this program over 5 years ago. Although, they became a part at a late age when they were too old to be a member they were given the opportunity to assist. I am now proud to be a board member and offer my help where needed. This program lends itself to organize young girls together and give them information and allow the girls to express their views on necessary topics, such as, education, current events, social networking, cyber bullying, dining etiquette, poise, finances, and careers to name a few. Girlfriendstalk is concerned about the education of the young girls. They encourage reading through forming a book club, the girls are given a book to read and they review the books and share their thoughts on how the book may or may not relate to them. They have assembled together to bring a communication between mothers and daughters, through a Mother/Daughter Workshop which was something very necessary and fun to experience. Dialogue, today, between parents and their children are strained and any chance to bring them together is a great idea. I’ve watched a number of young girls attend this program and look forward to the next time they meet.
The organazation was greatly supportive of my daughters...Me..(the parent) was very pleased with the on point conversations involving teens today....My children have taken a lot of these positives and applied them to the importance of being a young lady with moral standards and strong believes. I also spoke to my children after the workshops and truely felt this is the kind of organization that teens will benifit from....WE NEED THIS ORGANIZATIONS IN OUR COMMUNITIES.
I enjoy being associated with this organization. As a career woman it brings me joy to have the ability to change or make a difference in one young girl's life. GTI it is such a wonderful group combined with inspiring woman that care about the young girls of the future. With GTI volunteer events allows the girls to be a part of giving back to there community and themselves. They have the ability to share life's experiences and grow confidence within themselves. Outside of there normal daily activities, GTI provides them a place and opportunity to empower themselves and learn valuable tools that will help them shine throughout their lives.
