Gig Cares was set up to help Gluten Free Families around the country. They were great for months (except for some expired foods) and we were told we'd be receiving food for our 3 Celiac kids.
After relying on this donation- we received this note:
"We have made the difficult decision to temporarily pause the Cutting Costs program. Right now, we believe that the most compassionate and urgent use of our resources is to support gluten-free families directly impacted by these storms, many of whom are facing the loss of their homes, belongings, and access to essential resources."
There was no update since the beginning of October and we live in a rural area and had come to rely on this donation.
My kids keep asking when we are going to get the next box. Very disappointed and sad.
