Mission: The mission of the georgia school boards association, inc is to ensure excellence in the governance of local school systems by providing leadership, advocacy and services, and by representing the collective resolve of georgia's elected boards of education.
Programs: Member services: risk management, superintendent search service and policy services. Risk management services administer self-insured workers' compensation and property and liability programs for georgia public school systems as well as to provide various school safety related services. Superintendent search services assist georgia school systems in selection and hiring of school superintendents. Policy services assist georgia school systems in maintaining andupdating school policies.
eboardsolutions: develops, sells and supports web-based software to help member school districts achieve excellence through the effective use of technology, specifically focused on board governance.
board leadership development:designs and conducts various seminars and workshops for the 1,070 board members and 180 superintendents for the 180 public school systems in the state of georgia.
