I started attending Generation Her when I was 9 months pregnant. I am so thankful and happy I got invited to come. Ever since the first class I have been going each week. It has been 1 year and my little girl will be one in September. The things I enjoy most is how positive and relatable and non judge mental everyone is. I've meet other mothers from GH and we have play dates with our children out side of GH. I feel happy when I go and I look forward to each class because I get to learn new things about being a mom and raising my daughter in a healthy positive way. Not only that, but the leaders of GH r there to help us out along the way, anything from going to school to better our future, to be there and talk to us when we need to talk. I really love Generation Her and everything it stands for.

I have volunteered with this group for three years now. It is a support group for teen moms. The statistics are staggering: between 60 and 80 percent of teen moms don't graduate from high school. This leaves them unable to provide for their children, creating a drain on society. GenerationHer turns these statistics around. 100 percent of the girls in the program have graduated high school or on track to do so (or to get a GED). A majority go on to get higher degrees or certification.

In addition, the program helps the girls to become better mothers. Whether teaching money-saving tips (inexpensive birthday parties, budgeting, DIY decorating), nutrition, personal safety, or child-rearing improvements, these women become stronger, more confident mothers.

My experience has a positive one and I can't wait to continue working with the girls. I also love the accounting and Dianna has everything under control. Even though she does stress out sometime, who doesn't, she is doing really well running this. We are having difficulties finding fundraisers to raise money, but one day we will find an opportunity and we will be blessed. God has been so good to her and me and I have been blessed by this experience getting to know the teens and other leaders. It is great hearing all of the stories of the girls and learning more about the lives of these girls. It has been a great opportunity and the classes are great. I am teaching most of the business classes and I can't wait. I am teaching one next week and I hope that the girls like it.
