Causes: Children & Youth, Crime & Law, Youth Violence Prevention
Mission: The mission of the geddie-cole center, inc. Is to provide a "safe-haven" location and atmosphere for young people, an alternative to drugs, gangs, and crime. Activities include christian music and videos, puppet ministries, mime ministries, all supervised by christian adult who are available for counseling. The geddie-cole center hosts movies and concerts that are attended by over 3,500 young people each year. The center also distributes sandwiches to more than 2,400 people in addition to over 300 full meals that were served through its thanksgiving outreach program.
Programs: During calendar year 2017, the organization served 3,865 people who participated in 35 events (635 attended 17 free movies; 3,230 were served food and outreach ministries). The dental ministry which began in 2016 served 105 people. Volunteers also served thanksgiving day meals. Finally, the geddie cole center partnered with southern christian transport, carly's foods, and champion products to provide food, water, and clothes to those in need. The organization also supported the battered women project of marlboro county in 2017.
