I met Catherine as a seat mate at Red Sox spring training a few years ago. She pitched the charity to me and I donated. Next year, she allowed me to become one of many helpers.
I did and the rest is history. Those we help are a great group. They are young and older and represent numerous assistive associations in Lee and Collier. The benefits I receive are numerous (smiles, thank you's, hugs, etc.).
Prior to moving to FM, I volunteered often in Indiana and Maine. Oh, and by the way, my daughter is a Certified Teaching Assistant working with special needs high schoolers in the Boston area. Maybe I was a good example.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Game Day Bunch for the generous opportunity they provided for our deaf and hard of hearing community to see a professional baseball game. Many of these individuals had never been to a professional baseball game prior to this. They all had an incredible time! And Game Day provided lunch and a goodie bag!
Game Day Bunch is an amazing organization under the direction of Catherine McKinzie and her inspiration from her parents.

I've volunteered with Game Day Bunch and it is a great way for individuals with disabilities to get together and enjoy a nice day of sports and socialization!
We cannot thank GAME DAY BUNCH and MS. CATHERINE MCKINZIE enough! They went out of there way to provide an AMAZING experience for a group of our high school students with disabilities! Through their efforts 9 of our high school students were able to enjoy a wonderful educational and fun experience at a MLB Spring Training Game! They provided free tickets, food vouchers, swag bags, and pictures for our group!
Many of these students have never got to experience this and it was an EPIC experience for the whole group! We are so grateful to GAME DAY BUNCH and MS. CATHERINE MCKINZIE! If you ever have a chance to partner with them, it is an AMAZING organization that does great things for those with disabilities.
