Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Arts & Culture, Film & Video
Mission: GainesCon International Film Festival & Expo is a 501(c)(3) certified Las Vegas-based non-profit organization dedicated to showcasing, educating, and producing independent films, filmmakers, and other creative individuals in underserved communities whose work falls within the exciting genres of action, sci-fi, horror, and fantasy. But most importantly, we foster DEI, the cultural representation of various ethnic and underrepresented groups including the LGBTQIA+ community within these genres.
Results: Starting this July 11th and 12th of 2024, we will be making our nonprofit premiere at the wonderful District North, Downtown Cinema Theaters from 12pm to 6pm each day. This event will include showcasing exciting short films from all around the world while having free workshops with industry professionals in between showings. Also, as a big thank you to our "Real Action Heroes", the military, and first responders, admission will be free for them. This is the people's film festival.
