Mission: To support educational quality for the volusia county public school system by directing resources toward areas of identified need, increasing community involvement and support, and encouraging open communication between the community and schools.
Programs: Futures, inc. Is committed to providing continued financial support to qualifying and individual volusia school district employed teachers through the awarding of mini-grants to their schools which are to be used for various classroom projects.

Is committed to developing programs that generate community support for the funding of cash awards and scholarships for volusia county students in an effort to redirect their lives and enhance their career goals. This is accomplished by funding individual schools for the awarding of scholarships and other awards, including state and school matching programs. In addition, student prepaid scholarships are purchased by the organization from the florida prepaid college foundation through a combination of direct member, local business, and state funding sources.
at various recognition events, futures, inc. Honors and recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of district students. These events include the turn-around program and tomorrow's leaders program which provides leadership training for high school juniors. In addition, many staff recognition programs are in place, including new teacher event; principal of the year awards; superintendent's outstanding achievement award; teacher of the year awards; and first year teacher awards.
