I used to work in a marginalized community in Northern Kenya as an ophthalmic nurse and educator .God called me to be a missionary in 1988 while working among these groups.I attended for a missionary training with government support and thereafter I was posted back to the unreached people now in different location among two groups ;the Pokot and the Turkana.
Soon after two years I resigned from the government and devoted my self to health and evangelism with the church.in 2001,I pioneered the Kensud Medical Mission Trust. This organization has helped initiate dispensaries, schools and church planting among the target groups. The local churches around ave supported the program by supporting 4 pre primary teachers and 13 nurses as missionaries serving in the most difficult places where disease illiteracy and poverty is unspeakable. Now we have introduced three schools and saving over 1000 children from illiteracy. The dispensaries have minimized transport cost where mothers and children use to travel as far as 180 km to get simple medicine.
We have helped 8 women start a micro enterprise projects;2 keeping milk cows,3 starting tree nurseries and another 3 keeping chicken..We have had friends from overseas who helped to support half support of the medical missionaries and myself as the administrator.
