Causes: Education, Preschools
Mission: Fcns is a cooperative parent participation pre-school that provides a place for children to develop their social, emotional, physical, and academic skills while creating a lifelong love of learning.
Programs: Fcns operates a preschool five mornings a week with a staff of three teachers and the cooperative assistance of the childrens' parents. There are currently 77 children enrolled. The curriculum is designed to allow the children to "learn by doing" and includes the following activities and areas: playground equipment, sandbox and water play areas, educational tables, writing/art cneters, housekeeping corner, library and reading coves, and imaginative play centers.
misc program service accomplishments include spanish classes and extended day fees.
fcns provides a summer school program that offers essentially the same preschool experience that is offered during the regular school year.
