Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Disaster Aid, Disaster Preparedness & Relief Services

Mission: Our mission is to serve youth in the community.  We encourage the youth to participate in sports and various activities through out the community to raise their self-esteem, teach them team work and assist them in building goals.  Through our sponsorship, we also provide youth in the Philippines with the same options and opportunities that we are providing to our youth. We provide a program for senior citizens in which they have the opportunity to interact and participate with other senior citizens on games, arts, and social interaction.  We sponsor out-of-town vacation trips for the seniors who are actively involved in making a difference in their respective communities. We provide Thanksgiving Day meal for the homeless in Northern California.  As our organization grows, we will expand our services to provide more assistance to the homeless and less fortunate citizens locally and internationally. We provide assistance to victims of natural disasters through the United States and abroad.  We will not limit our services to just the United States because we feel that our assistance can change the lives of those that are in need not just localized to citizens of the United States. We sponsor a scholarship program to provide children in the Philippines who are unable to attend college the opportunities to attend on a scholarship. Our programs are funded through donations, fundraising events, and through solicitation of donations from private individuals.  Any donations received is going back into the organization to be used towards our scholarship program, youth program, seniors program, disaster relief program, and various other exempt activities that our organization has planned.

FriendsUSA is the first non profit organization where I did my community service. It was a great experience. It gave me the opportunity to serve the community and make a difference.

FriendsUSA Charitable Foundation, Inc. is one of the best start-up nonprofit organizations in the United States. For three consecutive years that I have been involved with their "Feed the Homeless Program," I've seen them put smiles on homeless people of Stockton and San Jose,California. At the beginning, I was skeptical to volunteer because of my previous experience with some nonprofit organizations. That skepticism changed when I first served as a volunteer, I've seen the dedication and commitment of everyone to help the people in need. They've sacrificed their precious time and money to feed the less fortunate and make a difference in the community. FriendsUSA is also transparent with their financials which made me more involved with their other programs. As long as I see positive results of their hardwork and dedication, I will continue to share my time with them.
