The Friends of the Weinberg Nature Center, Inc. was formed in 1988 by citizens who wanted the nature center that was willed to the Village of Scarsdale to be a nature center and not the home of a village employee who scared people away. We helped get him out and a naturalist in and the Village has made multiple upgrades to the facility. We have 11 acres that is a gateway to the 600 acre county owned Saxon Woods Park. There are meadows, woods, and various habitats and plantings along with a trailside museum where we present educational environmental programming on a regular basis. Please support by donating to the Friends of the Weinberg Nature Center, Inc. at 455 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale, NY 10583 The majority of funds goes to programming and maintaining our Native American Village. Scarsdale pays the salaries and for upkeep of the Weinberg Nature Center. www.weinbergnaturecenter.org for more info and upcoming programs
