Causes: Disaster Aid, Safety Education
Mission: The purpose of friends of safety city inc. Is to promote an increased emphasis and awareness of safety education for the children of our community and public awareness of safety through fundraising efforts. This is accomplished through education of our children using the safety city campus in the areas of traffic, bicycle, and pedestrian safety and through promoting the active participation of the citizens of abilene in the maintenance of and improvements to the safety city campus.
Programs: Maintenance of buildings at the safety city campus where children are taught traffic, bicycle, and pedestrian safety. Over 3,500 students attend this campus each year.
