Mission: The Friends of Peninsula State Park provide volunteer services & financial support for the interpretative, educational & visitor service programs of Peninsula State Park.
Target demographics: Families, students, and individuals interested in enjoying and preserving our natural resources
Direct beneficiaries per year: 1 million visitors to the Park
Geographic areas served: Peninsula State Park, Door County, Wisconsin
Programs: Volunteer assistance, purchase of program supplies, funding interpretive educational programs, and designated funds to support an addition to the Nature Center, reconstruction of Eagle Tower, and research grants for college students studying at the Park in the summer.
For 22 years, this tower has been a fixture in my family, adding a generation with the birth of our daughter who is now 16, and the summer isn't the same without our annual climbs up to the top, with her coaxing me at every level, "just one more, Mom", then one more...so that I could see the beauty of Door County through her eyes. This vision needs to continue...my donation will help...thank you for the opportunity to help bring back this part of history!
