Mission: Friends of Madagascar Mission, Inc. will seek to walk together with the Christians of Madagascar to strengthen their ministry and mission in reaching out with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In working towards that mission partnership, this will require: * Listening to the church both in Madagascar and in the USA. * Supporting mission goals that are in harmony with the expectations of the churches in both Madagascar and the USA. * Learning from the church in Madagascar and bringing the stories of mission back to the USA churches. * Expecting transparency and accountability from both the church in Madagascar and the USA church.

Programs: Ejeda nutrition program provides food to hospitals & tb patients in Madagascar, as well as handicapped children. The custom in Madagascar, the family of a patient must provide food. For some families, it is too far to walk to provide the food. Over 2,943 patients received food through this program. The Prison Ministry Program reaches out with food, medicine, clothing, spiritual counsel and care from those who are in the crowded prisons in Madagascar. Each week a team of 67 workers visits 1 prison. Food and supplies are distributed to the prisons based on the population of each location. Families are to provide food to prisoners. Evangelist Support is to place an evangelist from Madagascar in each village who requests one. The evangelist role is the whole well being: spiritual, health, and relationships among the village. There are over 50 evangelists who have helped 574 children and adults learn to read as well as 1,184 people baptized. Betela Seminary - this seminary prepares students to become pastors of the Malagasy Lutheran Church. After 4 years of study they are ordained through the Madagascar church and sent out to serve in congregations.
